The Potomac Roasting Company is a local micro-roaster based in the Washington, D.C. area that specializes in artisan coffee.

We precision roast high-quality specialty beans in small batches

sourced from farms in Latin America that are owned and operated by women.

Your coffee will be roasted the way you want it and delivered fresh.

We love what we do. We started as avid home coffee roasters, experimenting with coffees from around the world and sharing our roasts with family and friends.

We received so many requests for our “great coffee” that we decided to create Potomac Roasting Company. But as two former Peace Corps volunteers who served in Guatemala, we also wanted to pair our passion for great coffee with purpose-driven work.

In addition to ethically sourcing our beans, we donate a portion of our profits to a local animal rescue organization that finds homes for homeless dogs and cats.

Our current roasts come from prime coffee-producing regions of Colombia, Guatemala, and Peru, but we will be adding new roasts soon. If you are local, there’s a good chance we can deliver our fresh beans by bicycle to your door.
